Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the irregular winding, and to wind the rod material exactly and high efficiently, by slowing down the feeding speed when the winding point of the rod material comes near the flange plate on one end of the winding drum, and by holding a high winding speed during the rod material is wound around the middle zone of the drum.
CONSTITUTION: The stranded cable 2 is wound at high speed with the rotation of the winding drum 1; when the traverser 4 comes to near the flange plate 1b' on the side at which the winding of the first cable layer comes to end, the second approach position detecting switch S2 works, and the speed changing switch 20 is changed over to the side of the speed down junction 20b. Hereby, the twisting speed of the cylindrical twisting machine 13 is decreased, and the feeding speed of the stranded cable 2 to the winding drum 1 is decreased. When the stranded cable 2 is placed under the condition that the cable 2 is being wound contacting the flange plate 1b', the second reversing position detecting switch S4 works and produces a signal; hereby, the rotation of the traverser screw 9 is reversed, and the traverser 4 is moved to the left side. Besides, by the reversing signal, the signal of the second approach position detecting switch S2 is made ineffective, the speed changing switch 20 is changed over to the high speed junction 20a, and the winding of the stranded cable is carried out at high speed, so that the stranded cable 2 is fed to the winding drum 1 at high speed.
