Abstract

PURPOSE: To sufficinetly maintain the degree of vacuum at the HIP treating and improve the yield of products by screwing and intermeshing the plug formed by hard material into a deaerating pipe, and melt-sticking both thereby integrating the same.
CONSTITUTION: When the inside of a capsule 1 and vacuum vessel 12 reaches the specified degree of vacuum, a plug 8 is screwed and fitted to a deaerating pipe 3. This plug 8 is formed by the material harder than the material of the deaerating pipe 3 and its edge 7 intermeshes with the tapered part 7 of the deaerating pipe 3, thus even if the vacuum vessel 12 is removed, the inside of the capsule 1 is perfectly hermetically sealed, whereby the initial degree of vacuum is maintained. Circumferential welding grooves 11, 11' are beforehand formed to the top end weld zones of this deaerating pipe 3 and plug 8, and are subjected to circumferential welding 9 by MIG welding or CO2 welding, whereby the deposited metal is formed. This method eliminates the fear for deaeration insufficiency and hermetic selaing defect, and stabilizes the quality of the HIP product.
