Abstract

PURPOSE: To reproduce a drum can by cutting the upper end of a closed type used drum can, heating it, and welding the inside wall of the drum section and the edge of the base plate which is opposed to the wall from inside over all the circumferential surface.
CONSTITUTION: The drum section 1 for the top plate 4 of a closed type drum can is cut in the joint 3 and the upper end of the drum section is opened. The edge section 11 is formed on the edge of the opening section and residue is burnt by heating it in the heating furnace 12. Then, the joint 3 between the base plate 4 and the drum section 1 is welded from inside. Subsequently, anticorrosive treatment, coating, and drying are performed. Then, the cover member 16 adheres to the edge section 11 which opens the drum section 1 through the packing 18 by the band 17. This permits the closed type used frum can to be finished as an open type reproduced drum can.
