Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the connections between rectifying elements by mounting first and second cooling fins fitted with associated rectifying elements, respectively, in such a manner that they are located in the same plane substantially perpendicular to the axial direction of a rotary shaft. CONSTITUTION:The first and second cooling fins 21, 22 formed into horsehoe shape and fitted with rectifying elements 31, 32, fespectively, are mounted at the inner side of a rear end frame in such a manner that the second cooling fin 22 is disposed at the inner side of the first cooling fin 21 and the both first and second cooling fins 21, 22 are located in the same plane substantially perpendicular to the axial direction of a rotary shaft 6. The rectifying elements 31, 32 are connected to each other by means of connectors 40. By so doing the paired rectifying elements 31, 32 to be connected are disposed in a straight line at the positions very near to each other, whereby the connections between the rectifying elements can be performed with ease.
