Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease the number of the maintenance operators, by providing the low frequency oscillators of different frequencies with every repeater and then discriminating the frequency of the fault occurrence signal to detect the faulty area. CONSTITUTION:The low frequency oscillators SV1 and SV2 receiving the supply of the electric power from the intervention pair 3 are provided to the output terminal of each repeater. At the same time, the frequencies are set different for oscillators SV1, SV2 and so on. The oscillator SV1 monitors the feed voltage at the output terminal P of the repeater REP1-A. And in case this feed voltage drops by some fault, the relay RA works to close the contact r. In this case, the contact r interlocks the contact r'. With closured of the contact r', the fault occurrence signal sent from the oscillator SV1 is transmitted to the end office 1 via the capacitor 16 or the Zener diode 17 and the coil 13.
