Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a high quality picture without being affected by variations in an X-ray intensity, by suppressing variations of the voltage when an inverter starts by controlling the pulse width of the inverter. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 20 supplies a voltage application signal VS and a pulse width signal EW to a gate circuit 13 of an inverter 3, and also sends a command signal SH for opening or shutting a shutter to a shutter 21. The pulse width signal EW controls the amplitude of input current to the inverter 3 in such a manner that, when the inverter 3 is actuated the width of a voltage which is applied to an X-ray tube 6 is narrow but it becomes broader, successively to suppress variations in the input voltage to the inverter.
