Abstract

PURPOSE: To conduct the self-decision of power source frequency by means of a microcomputer by a method wherein the rise or fall of signals responding to the power source frequency is detected, and the fluctuation of a level of the signals is detected after a set time.
CONSTITUTION: A ceramic capacitor C, a carbon film resistor R1 and a metal glaze resistor R2 are connected to the microcomputer CPU, and the signals of power source frequency 50/60Hz are supplied as input. Input for 16,6W20ms after the rise of the pulses of the input signals is detected and the frequency is decided to be 60Hz when the input is a high level and 50Hz when it is a low level. Thus, an operation mistake can be eliminated while a region of clock frequency being accompanied by the changes of temperature, voltage and element errors can be held in a condition for deciding 50Hz or 60Hz by using the output as controlling input which automatically changes over to 50Hz or 60Hz.
