Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain titled high tensile seam welded steel pipe for oil well, by hardening the steel material composed of a specific component, such as C, Si, Mn and containing a specific content of Ti corresponding to N contact and also, containing Ca, rare earth metals at a specific temperature and tempering at a specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:Steel material containing 0.06-0.35 C, <=0.5 Si, <=1.6 Mn, <=0.04 P, <=0.01 S, <=0.04 Ti, 0.0001-0.0025 B, <=0.008 N, 0.25-0.4 Cu, <=0.1 Al, by wt% and in regard to Ti, N, on occasion of 0.005-0.008 n content in the steel the following formula is satisfied, 0.04>=%Ti>=3.42X%N+0.0022 and also, on occasion of 0.035-0.055 N content the following formula is satisfied 0.04>=%Ti>= 10.5X%N-0.0368 and then, on occasion of <=0.0035 N content, the following formula is satisfied, 0.04>=%Ti>=0 and moreover, containing 0.001-0.1 Ca, one or two kinds of 0.005-0.1 rare earth metals, and Ca/S>=0.5, rare earth metals/S>=1 by wt% is used. Said steel is hardened at the austenitizing temperature or more, 1, 100 deg.C or less and is tempered at 500 deg.C or more, Ac3 transformation point or less.
