Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a local dry type underwater coating device, by securing the getting of the shielding gas by providing the cylindrical component inside the jet barrel which flows the water jet and then providing both the hardening promoting device of the coating material and the spray nozzle at the center of the cylindrical component in order to form the underwater torch.
CONSTITUTION: A uniform mixture is given in the mixing room 5 to the main agent and the hardener which compose the coating material passed through the coating material hoses 4a and 4b to the room 5 by the pump and into the inside of the cylindrical component 1 of the torch T'. These mixed agents are then sprayed onto the basic material M to be coated with a uniform thickness and through the spray nozzle 6. The perfect solventless type two-pack system polyester, polyurethane, tar epoxy and others are preferably used as the coating materials. Both the jet barrel 2 into which the high-speed jet current of the water flows plus the jet nozzle 3 are provided around the component 1 from which the shielding gas is jetted in order to form a steady dry cavity at the coating area B.
