Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent releasing of fuel vapor to the atmosphere, by disposing a unit in the form of a honeycomb structure consisting of activated-carbon fibe containing sheet members in an air intake duct connected to an air cleaner of engine.
CONSTITUTION: In an air intake duct 2 of an air cleaner 1 having therein an element 5, there is provided a unit 9 in the form of a honycomb structure consisting of activated-carbon fiber containing sheet members so that a number of parallel air passages are formed therein. Through provision of such a unit 9, it is enabled to adsorb fuel vapor scattered from a carburetor 5 and thus to prevent releasing of the same to the atmosphere.
