Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the percolation in a fuel system by blasting a part of secondary air against the external surface of a carburetor at a certain temperature of an engine by means of a device containing a secondary air supply device for purifying exhaust gas.
CONSTITUTION: A secondary air in an air pump 17 is carried via a selector valve 31 and a check valve 25 into an exhaust manifold 9 of an engine 7 so as to purify exhaust gas. An air feed pipe 35C runs from the selector valve 31 to an air duct 27 faced to a carburetor 3. The selector valve 31 is switched with the aid of a computer N to release a part of secondary air against the carburetor 3 at a specific temperature or more of the engine.
