Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform the high-performance waste gas treatment, dry-type and simple in the process by a method wherein a most part of harmful material in the waste gas is removed in the first stage, the remainder is adsorbed by an adsorbent in the second stage, and the adsorbent used is combusted in the previous stage. CONSTITUTION:In the treatment of gas contg. harmful material such as sulfur oxide and hydrogen chloride coming from a combustion unit 9 or a metal refining furnace, the gas is first guided into the first stage remover 10 having adsorbent 12 so that the harmful material is mostly removed. Then, the gas is guided into the second stage remover 11 so that the remainder is adsorbed by solid material 14 capable of being burnt, such as active carbon. Therefore, the adsorbent 14 is supplied to the combustion unit 9 and is treated by burning with fuel. In this manner, a dryor semidry-system is used to treat waste gas while effectively using adsorbent.
