Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent ink drop from being driven by air and to improve a resolution, by a method wherein an end of an ink drop guide is located in proximity to an outer circumference surface of a drum. CONSTITUTION:The ink drops of magenta, yellow, and cyan jetted through nozzles 1a, 1b, and 1c are charged by means of charging electrodes 2a, 2b, and 2c, and are deflected by deflecting electrodes 3a, 3b, and 3c. Said ink drops pass through detecting electrodes 7a, 7b, and 7c for measuring an injection timing of the ink drop, and pass through ink drop guides, and adhere on a recording paper 8. An end of said ink drop guide is located in proximity to an outer circumferential wall surface of a drum 5, and air current, generating on the outer circumferential wall surface of the drum 5 rotating in the direction of an arrow mark A at a high speed, is detoured. Air at the inside of the guide 12 is separated from air at the outside of the guide 12, and air flow in an ink drop flying path is checked from being produced. Thus, if turbulent air is generated, it does not excercise any influence upon the inside, and the ink drops can be concentrated into one point.
