Abstract

PURPOSE: To utilize the solar energy for ventilation and dehumidification, by providing the air conditioner wherein a moisture absorption plate and a fan are incorporated in a casing which is arranged an air outlet port to the outside of a room and air inlet and air outlet ports to the inside of the room.
CONSTITUTION: The moisture absorption plate 3 and the fan 2 are incorporated in the casing 1 whose outside comprises a light transparent plate 41 of glass or the like, and which is arranged an air outlet port 8 to the outside of the room and the air inlet port 6 and the air outlet port 7 to the inside of the room. In the day time of the season from the spring to the autumn, the air outlet 8 is opened and the fan 2 is driven to perform ventilation of the room and to regenerate the absorption plate 3. At night, the air outlet port 8 is closed, while the air outlet port 7 is opened and the fan 2 is driven to subject the air in the room to contact with the absorption plate 3 to dehumidify the air. Thus utilizing solar energy, dehumidification and ventilation of air in the room can be carried out.
