Abstract
PURPOSE: A device for automatically exchanging liquid in vessels like laboratory dishes used for the incuvation of cells in which the lid-removing part, liquid-sucking part, liquid-pouring part and lidding part are provided along the guide path for the vessels so that the vessels are sent in sequence.
CONSTITUTION: A vessel 1 covered with a lid 3 is placed on the guide path 10 and transfered along the path 10 by pushing it with transferring means 15. The lid- removing part 11 includes an inclined surface that can go into the bottom part of the lid 3 of the vessel 1 and, as the vessel goes forward, the lid 3 is raised upward along the inclined surface until removed. The major part 2 and the lid 3 are separated to the lower side and the upper one and transfered in parallel. The major part 2 at the lower side is transferred to the liquid-sucking parts 12 equipped with a vacuum pump and the liquid-pouring part 13 in turn where the liquid is exchanged. The lidding part 14 is provided with a surface descending in the direction of the vessels' progress and the major part 2 is covered with the lid 3 that comes down along the inclined surface at the position beneath the pushing part 35.
