Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a low-loss, small-size, and light-weight 1-bit delay line, by using the U-form line and by providing an impedance converting circuit in the input/output part. CONSTITUTION:Impedance converting line 11 and U-form line 12 are formed as a microwave integrated circuit (MIC) on the high dielectric substrate of a high temperature stability. As the high dielectric substrate, the substrate of dielectric constant epsilongamma=39 consisting of BaTi4O9 as main components is used. Impedance converting circuit 11 and U-form line 12 are mounted on the input/output part and the other part respectively on this MIC substrate, and MIC substrate are connected successively by golden ribbon 13. For the purpose of preventing electromagnetic connection between lines, metal shielding plate or radio wave absorbing material plate 14 is inserted between the slit provided in the center of the U-form line and the adjacent substrate.
