Abstract
PURPOSE:To sufficiently prevent corrosion of Al products assembled by use of vacuum brazing by a method wherein an Al alloy brazing material contg. specific amount of Si, Mg, In, etc. is used for vacuum brazing, then boehmite treatment is performed. CONSTITUTION:In order to prevent corrosion of Al products assembled by vacuum brazing, an Al alloy brazing material consisting of Si: 7-10wt%, Mg: 0.5- 1.5wt%, In: 0.05-0.2wt%, and the remaining Al is used for the vacuum brazing, then boehmite treatment is applied. The above brazing alloy has good fluidity and excellent brazing property, and undergoes sacrificial corrosion to protect the base material for a long period of time after brazing. The boehmite-reaction forms an oxide layer on the base material, and the synergistic effect of these sufficiently prevents the products from corrosion.
