Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the productivity and adhesion by a method wherein round- tubular heat pipes are inserted into a long cylindrical metal pipe, and then the metal pipe is contracted in diameter to obtain a double-wall pipe with heat pipes adhered to the inside surface of an outer pipe.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of round-tubular heat pipes 8 are inserted in series into a long cylindrical metal pipe 7, then the metal pipe 7 with the heat pipes 8 therein is inserted into a drawing die 10 and drawn, to reduce the diameter of the metal pipe 7 and adhere the latter to the heat pipes 8. As a result, there is obtained a double-wall heat pipe 6A comprising the contracted metal pipe 7 as an outer pipe 3 and the heat pipes 8 as inner pipes 4. The heat pipe 6A is cut up for every heat pipe 8, to obtain double-wall heat pipes 6 for rotary shaft.
