Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform the control of the flow rate of mixture smoothly in the entire operating area and also conduct the atomization of fuel excellently by providing a fixed valve body having plural number of radiating projections arranged at equal intervals on the upper surface thereof and a movable valve body changing the area of opening of a suction pipe in combination with the fixed valve body.
CONSTITUTION: When an acceleration pedal is pushed down and a movable tubelike body 12 is moved downward against a spring 17 through the intermediary of a wire 52, a like 49, etc., the area of opening of an opened part 44 formed between the body 12 and the fixed valve body 11 of a suction pipe 3 is enlarged. Accordingly, the air for combustion increased in quantity is sucked from an air cleaner 1 into the engine through the suction pipe 3 and a suction manifold 4. On the occasion, fuel is fed from a fuel injection valve 5 so as to form a fixed air-fuel ratio in relation to the quantity of sucked air and atomized by the air stream passing through the opened part 44. Since plural number of radiating projections 101 arranged at equal intervals are provided on the upper surface of the fixed valve body 11, the fuel is expanded equally around the valve body 11, thus being atomized excellently.
