Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow lead wires to be arranged easily and to reduce differences among the exothermic values in each resistance portion in a thermal head which makes multipoint and simultaneous recording of a one-line width, by shortening the distances between exothermic resistance portions and common connecting wires. CONSTITUTION:To take an example, if in one line, N=1728 dots and in exothermic elements of an adjacent group l=l1+l2=54+54=108 dots, the common connecting lines of the 1st and 3rd main groups 11-116 and 31-316 are arranged in opposite sides to each other referring to the exothermic resistance elements R1- R1728 and therefore the common connecting wires of the 2nd and 4th main groups 21-254 and 41-454 also are arranged in a like manner. As a result, the lengths of the lead wires (printed electrode) connecting each of the exothermic resistance element portions R1-R1728 and each of the common connecting wires of the 2nd and 4th main groups 21-254, 41-454 are nearly half the lengths when the common connecting wires are arranged at one side of the exothermic resistance elements.
