Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a devide simple and inexpensive by a method wherein an ink-jet recording device of charge deflection type is arranged in the rotational direction of a rotary cylindrical body and the deflected direction of ink-jet particles is set in the specified direction. CONSTITUTION:Ink-jet particles jetted from plural number of heads 2, 3 and 4 are charged corresponding to a printing information signal at a charging electrode 5 and are deflected by deflecting electrodes 6a and 6b in the direction almost perpendicular to the rotational direction of a rotary drum 1, thus being transferred on the same point of the recording paper on the rotary drum 1. The heads 2-4, the charging electrode 5, deflecting electrodes 6a and 6b, a gutter 7, etc. are mounted on a carriage and scanned in the direction perpendicular to the rotational direction of the rotary cylindrical body 1, i.e. in the direction of sub-scanning, and the unrequired ink-jet particles which are unnecessary for printing are collected by the gutter 7.
