Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to drive a reel shaft stably by interposing a torque transmission mechanism, using a fluid as a medium, between a driving source and reel driving shaft.
CONSTITUTION: Once motor 10 is actuated under the take-up command for a tape, transmission shaft 5 turns through belt 9 to turn fan 7. The rotation of this fan 7 flows air, as shown by the arrow, in cylindrical body 41 of torque transmission mechanism part 4 from air suction hole 411 to exhaust hole 412, so that fan 6 will start turning. Thus, reel driving shaft 2 rotates to take-up the tape through reel 3. The size of air suction hole 411 of body 41 is adjusted with adjustment ring 42 to vary the rate of torque transmission to reel driving shaft 2, thereby obtaining desired transmission torque. Additionally, although the rotational frequency of driving shaft 2 can be varied by varying the rotational frequency of motor 10, turning unevenness of motor 10 can be removed by using a fluid as a medium.
