Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a valve in small size and weight at a low cost, improve its stability, and prevent influence of blast furnace gas by activating an open-to-outside type bleeder valve equipped at the top of a blast furnace with a link mechanism operated by a hydraulic cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: A bracket 9 is mounted at the outside of a valve body equipped at the tip of the gas releasing part of a blast furnace and, at its uppermost part, the valve lid supporting link 6 is fixed with its middle point. A valve lid 9 is mounted at the tip of the supporting link 6 and, at its rearmost part, a driving link 14 is coupled through a connecting link 11. The other end of this driving link 14 is fixed to the lower part of a bracket 5. Shaft 12 of the connecting link 11 is pressed to the upper end of a slit in the driving link 14 by the action of a spring 19. When the driving link 14 is rotated by stretching a cylinder 20, the supporting link 6 is pulled and the connecting link shifts downward to open the valve lid 9. If the spring constant of the spring 19 is chosen so as to correspond to the set pressure in the valve body, the pressure is released automatically.
