Abstract

PURPOSE: To control the movement of the whole containers in a hold, by limiting the motion of the rows of the end portions of container groups by mounting a rod, which serves as tension, compression or both action, among a hull and each stage end portion of containers.
CONSTITUTION: One end of a rod 4 is installed to a vertical stacker 3 for connecting a container 2' loaded into a ship. The rod 4 consists of a main body 6, which pivotally supports a connecting portion 5 connecting to the stacker 3 to the nose in a revelution-free shape, and a screw body 7 engaging with the main body. A knob 8 is mounted to a left end of the screw body 7, and the knob is connected to a long hole 9 installed to a plate body 1, thus disposing the one end of the rod 4 to a hull. The screw body 7 is turned by operating a handle 11, thus allowing the adjustment of the length of the rod 4
