Abstract

PURPOSE: To greatly reduce the consumption of fuel, by providing an ordinary sintering material layer on a mixture layer consisting of returned ore and coke and by performing incineration.
CONSTITUTION: In a feed system A, returned ore and coke are picked out of a returned ore vessel 1 and a coke vessel 2 and mixed with each other and the mixture is supplied to a returned ore feed vessel 4. In another feed system B, ordinary powdery ore, coke limestone, etc. are picked out of a material vessel 5 and mixed together and the mixture is supplied to an ore feed hopper 7. Bed ore is picked out from a bed hopper 8 onto the pallet of a sintering machine 9. The mixture layer 10 consisting of the returned ore and the coke is supplied from the returned ore feed vessel 4 onto the bed ore on the pallet. The blended material layer 11 is supplied from the ore feed hopper 7 so that the layer 11 is put on the mixture layer 10. Sintering is then effected. According to this method, a large quantity of returned ore can be processed and the consumption cost of coke is greatly economized.
