Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce a high strength cold-rolled steel plate of superior workability for automobiles by subjecting the cold-rolled steel plate of low carbon steel having been controlled of content of Mn alone or Mn+Cr to a specific range and contg. a slight amount of B to continuous annealing of the specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:0.005-0.30% C, <0.15% Si and 1.2-2.5% Mn alone are contained or >0.1% Mn, >0.1% Cr and Mn+Cr are contained in such a manner that the latter becomes 1.2-2.5%. The steel slab contg. 0.005-0.080% sol. Al, 0.0005-0.0100% B as other components is hot and cold rolled to a plate of 0.8mm. thick. After this is heated at 750-800 deg.C maximum heating temp. and 5sec-2min holding time, it is continuously annealed at 1-30 deg.C/sec in mean cooling rate between 700-400 deg.C of the cooling process. The high strength cold-rolled steel plate of superior workability and formability for automotive body panels may be produced.
