Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to obtain the reference voltage of CML without using special circuit with no adjustment, by generating the reference voltage without producing the exclusive referenece voltage generating circuit, through the use of the basic circuit of CML(current mode logic). CONSTITUTION:The reference voltage generating circuit 10 is that the collector terminals 1, 2 of the transistors TR1, TR2 of the CML circuit shown in the circuit 11 are connected with the wire 3. The logic voltage of the circuit 10 is 0 at logic''0'' (TR1 is off) and -R1I(V) at logic ''1''(TR1 is on), where I is the circuit flowing to the transistor TR1. Since the collector terminals 1, 2 are short-circuited, the potential V1 at the terminal 1 is shown in equation (1), and when the same characteristic transistors are used for TR1-TR4 and the resistance R1-R6 are of the same resistance, the current flowing to R3, R6 is equal and the intermediate voltage between 0(V) and -R5I(V) can be obtained
