Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve productive efficiency without needing conventional cut work by forming a thrust surface of balance weight by step pressure in a method of producing the balance weight of a motor used for refrigenerators or the like.
CONSTITUTION: Scrap portions 14 are at first punched off from a strip 13' of steel plate at both sides thereof to form balance weights 13 connected in series. Then, recess portions 13a having a thrust surface in a predetermined position are formed by step pressure and holes 13b through which a crankshaft will extend are punched in the center of said recess portion 13a. Thereafter the balance weights 13 are cut off one by one and connected with crankshafts 15 respectively. Thus, such method of forming the thrust surface 13a by step pressure improves productive efficiency without needing conventional cutting work.
