Abstract
PURPOSE: To strengthen the bonding of a filter paper and a pipe and to the prevent the damage to the bonded portion by the high-pressure working oil by bonding the corrugated filter paper of the filter for the high-pressure working oil with an internal perforated pipe with the aid of an organic solvent and a soluble adhesive.
CONSTITUTION: The inside of the cylindrical filter paper 1 whose edge portion is of a currugated form is provided with the perforated pipe 3 with a great number of the through holes 2. Then, the volatile organic solvent 4, e.g., trichloroethylene, etc., is impregnated into both ends of the filter paper 1 and both ends of the perforated pipe 3 are covered with the concave portion 6 of a disk-like end plate 5. Then, the soft pasty adhesive 7 of an epoxy resin is impregnated into the concave portion 6 until it reaches the end edges, and part of the adhesive 7 is dissolved in the organic solvent 4 impregnated into the end portion of the filter paper 1 and absorbed in the fibrous layer of the paper 1. The filter paper 1 so treated is forcibly dried by heating to a necessary temperature in a dryer to cause the strong bonding between the corrugated filter paper 1, the end plate 5, and the perforated pipe 3. The filter having a sufficiently high resistance to the high-pressure working oil is can be used for a high-pressure oil machinery and therefore can prevent the lowering of performance and also the shortening of life of the oil-pressure machinery.
