Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to switch the communication signal from the current TDMA (time division multiple access) unit to the auxiliary TDMA unit without initial action operations of the auxiliary TDMA unit for the fault of the current TDMA unit, by synthesizing burst of current and auxiliary systems by the output of the transmitter. CONSTITUTION:Transmission outputs of TDMA units TDMA1 and TDMA2 are synthesized by hybrid HYB1 and are branched into two by HYB2, and respective branched outputs are amplified by transmission units HPA1 and HPA2 after converted to radio frequencies by transmission output converters U/C1 and U/C2. These outputs are synthesized by hybrid HYB4 and are transmitted to a satellite through branching filter WSF from antenna ANT. The signal from the satellite is converted to an intermediate frequency by receiving frequency converter D/C1 or D/C2 after low-noise amplifier LNR1 or LNR2 is selected by switch SW1, and this frequency is input to the receiving inputs of TDMA1 and TDMA2 through switch SW2 and HYB2.
