Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of steps and make operation simple by forming the two superposed latent images on a photoreceptor by two times of continuous charging and exposing thence forming the superposed images through one developing and one transfer.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of the photoreceptor comprising laminating a photoconductive insulation layer 2 and a light-transmittable insulation layer 3 on a conductive substrate 1 is subjected to primary charging by a corona discharger 4, thence it is subjected to secondary charging by a corona charger 6 while being subjected to primary image exposure by negative images 5. Next, the secondary image exposure by positive images 7 is done on this photoreceptor surface, thence toners 8 are supplied to reproduce the iamge parts of the negative images 5 and positive images 7, after which a transfer material 9 is superposed thereon and the toner images are transferred to the transfer material 9 by a corona charger 10. Since all the processes are organically coupled, the number of processes may be reduced and the superposed images may be formed rapidly.
