Abstract
PURPOSE: A lipid depressant that contains a specific phenoxy-phenoxypropionic acid compound.
CONSTITUTION: Said lipid depressant contains α-[4-(4'-trifluoromethylphenoxy)- phenoxy]-propionic acid, its ester or salt of the formula (R is H, 1W5C alkyl) such as ethyl ester. It has stronger activity, of lowering cholesterol, triglyceride or phospholipid and lower toxicity than clofibrate. Usually, 100W500mg/day is orally administered to an adult.
