Abstract

PURPOSE: To simply prevent heat dissipation during the fire extinguishment at a circulation type bath furnace, by shutting off a circulation pipe throughout the fire extinguishment.
CONSTITUTION: A check valve comprising a valve element 7, a spring 8 and a spring fixation plate 9 is installed near the blowoff baffle plate 5 of a bathtub 1. In heating, water in the bathtub 1 flows through a low temperature side pipe 2 and is heated by a bath furnace 3 and then flows through a high temperature side pipe 4 and returns to the bathtube 1 while thrusting the spring 8 inwards to open the check valve. During fire extinguishment, the check valve is closed by the spring 8 and the circulation pipes 2, 4 are shut off so that a circulation passage is disconnected. Therefore, hot water convection does not occur during the fire extinguishment, accordingly, the water once heated and stored in the bathtub 1 is not heat-exchanged at the furnace 3 nor the heat of water dissipates during convection.
