Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the operation of changing wind direction easy by indicating the direction of a wind blown off from the main body of an air conditioner on the outside of the main body.
CONSTITUTION: At a position which can be easily seen from the outside of an air conditioner main body A, a wind direction indicator 1 which has a partition cylinder 2 with a slit 2a, an electric lamp 4, radial partition plates 5, a cover 7 with transparent slits 8 and a connecting plate 10 is installed. By so doing, if a wind direction changing plate 11 installed at an air outlet B is rotated upward or downward, the connecting plate 10 is operated via the projection of a supporting shaft 12, the partition cylinder 2 is rotated via a gear mechanism and light from the electric lamp 4 passing through the slit 2a and a space between the partition plates 5 comes out from the transparent slits 8. Therefore, transparent slit 8 indicating a direction corresponding to the rotation angle of the wind direction changing plate 11 illuminates indicating the direction of a blown off wind to the outside, and thus the desired purpose can be attained.
