Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the performance of the tire folding the bead wire inside out by specifying the contraction rate of the tire lower wall thickness and the tire lower wall rubber thickness employing the specified cord to reduce the plycord below the number of ply of the tire body. CONSTITUTION:The polyester cord 4 of 4,500d is employed for the plycord 4 on the carcass layer so that the number of ply on the layer is reduced below that of the plycord 4 folded back about the bead wire 2 and the tire body covering from the bead wire to the bead wire whereby a part of the ply number of the tire body is checked near the portion of B of the bead wire. In addition, it is so arranged that the contraction rate of the tire lower wall thickness ranges 4-35% while the total rubber thickness alone of the tire lower wall ranges 7-70%. Thus, the use of the polyester cord of 4,500d allows the approximating of the tire lower wall thickness to the value in the case of using the steel cord within the preferable contraction rate range thereby improving the performance.
