Abstract
PURPOSE: To immobilize an enzyme or mold on protein firmly without deactivating them, by subjecting the protein to be denaturated thermally to crosslinking treatment using an aldehyde with low concentration.
CONSTITUTION: 0.1W1,000pts.wt. One or more kinds of protein to be denaturated thermally, e.g, human serum albumin, human γ-globulin, etc. is blended with 0.0001W10pts.wt. aldehyde, e.g., formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde, etc. and 0.1W 400pts.wt. one or more kinds of enzymes or molds to give a system, which is heat- treated at room temperature to 100°C, preferably 30W90°C so that the enzyme or mold is immobilized. The heat-treatment and radiation may be carried out together.
