Abstract

PURPOSE: To treat electrical dust precipitation ashes while surely preventing the elution of harmful heavy metals by pickling said ashes, dividing these to residues and a soln. contg. heavy metal ions, separating the heavy metal ions by settling then melting and solidifying the same.
CONSTITUTION: Ashes 21 generated by the electric dust precipitation are pickled, and are separated to residues 22 and a soln. contg. heavy metal ions 23. The residues 22 are put into a storage tank 29 after washing, and the soln. 23 is subjected to alkali treatment in a settling tank 31. Thereby, the heavy metal ions are settled as heavy metal hydroxide 39. This heavy metallic hydroxide 39 is separated and is kneaded together with a fusing agent 12 with part of the residues 22 in a kneading machine 42. Then, the heavy metallic hydroxide is fixed in glassy or crystalline slag in the form of oxide and sulfide. In this way, the elution of the harmful heavy metals is surely prevented, and ashes of the electrical dust precipitation are treated at a low cost with a less amount of discharge water.
