Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the structure of a gas detecting unit to make it possible to obtain it at low cost, by providing a gas detecting part consisting of a resistance and a metal oxide semiconductor gas sensor, where the resistance value for gas sensing is dependent upon temperatures, a transformer for supply of heater electric power and so on, and a resistance value control part.
CONSTITUTION: A gas detecting unit is constituted by a gas detecting part provided with metal oxide semiconductor gas sensor 1, where the resistance value for gas sensing is dependent upon temperatures, and resistance 2 and 20 connected in series to gas sensor 1, heater 5 to heat gas sensor 1, transformer 6 for supply of heater electric power and so on, and control part 3 which is so constituted that resistance values of resistances 2 and 20 may be increased or reduced in the same direction as increment or reduction of the power source voltage when the power source voltage is fluctuated. As a result, change of the sensor temperature dependent upon fluctuation of the power source voltage is cancelled, and change of concentration to start the operation of alarm and so on is eliminated, and a structure suitable specially as the gas leakage alarm equipment for city gas is obtained.
