Abstract

PURPOSE: To operate the control system to the safety side, by constituting the circuit so that the output may be always set to burnout and down-scale when various abnormal states dependent upon disconnection of a measured resistor are generated.
CONSTITUTION: When the first current supplying lead wire A1 of thermometric resistor 1 is disconnected, constant current (i) from constant current source 2 is flowed to diode D1 and the base and the emitter of transistor Q1 and is circulated through bias resistance Rb. Therefore, voltage e1 at the positive phase input terminal of differential amplifier 3 becomes e1=Rb.i. Meanwhile, voltage Rb.i at both ends of bias resistance Rb is applied to the reverse phase input terminal of differential amplifier 3 also. Here, since reverse phase input impedance Z5 is very large in comparison with the value of the parallel synthesized resistance, voltage e2 applied to the reverse phase input terminal becomes e2=Rb.i also. Consequently, the output of differential amplifier 3 becomes burnout and up-scale instantaneously, so that the control system can be operated to the safety side.
