Abstract
PURPOSE:To surely collect the information necessary for tracing the cause of program abnormality with out degrading the responsiveness of a computer. CONSTITUTION:Beforehand, the abnormality data collecting range of a stroage device is assigned to an auxiliary memory device in the same manner as for the standby area of a transient program opreation area. When program abnormality is detected (DET), the register information of that time is collected (step 1), after which the temporary suspension of the use of the operation block of the program where the abnormality occured and the temporary stopping of the operation of the associated programs are accomplished (step 2); an abnormality data collecting request (step 3) is emitted; a data collection processing step, that is, the process of retreating the data associated to said programs in an auxiliary storage device (step 4) is carried out; and after the completion of retreating, the suspension of the use of said block is released and the temporary stopping of the operation of the associated programs is also released (step 5).
