Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the wasteful power consumption of a brake resistor by stepwisely increasing the brake resistance value inversely proportionally to the rotating speed of a motor. CONSTITUTION:The series units of contacts MC2, MC1, brake resistors R2, R3 are connected with a braking circuit 2 between power lines, and the resistance values of the resistors R1-R3 are set at 3R. While the rotating speed of the motor M is N0-2/3N0, contacts MC1-MC3 are all closed, and the sum of the brake resistors become R. While the rotating speed of the motor is 2/3N0-1/3N0, the contact MC3 is opened, but the contacts MC1, MC2 continue the closed state. While the rotating speed of the motor is 1/3N0-0, the contact MC2 is opened, but only the contact MC1 continues the closed state. That is, the contacts MC1-MC3 are so controlled that the brake resistance values are stepwisely increased corresponding to the rotating speed of the motor M as to the opening and the closing of the contacts. Since the brake resistance value at the braking time is accordingly increased inversely proportionally to the roating speed of the motor M, the wasteful power supply from the power source can be suppressed.
