Abstract

PURPOSE: To allow a train to travel with minimum necessary electric power by outputting an idle control signal when the traveling speed of the train becomes faster than a notch-off speed responsive to the traveling time to its destination.
CONSTITUTION: An instruction signal T relative to the traveling time to next station from an operation command is located to a memory 9, and a traveling time vs. notch-off speed table 3 outputs a notch-off speed 3a responsive to the value of the memory 9. When the traveling speed 2a of the train is slower than the notch-off speed 3a, a comparator 4 produces a compared output to close a power drive relay 5 ON. Thus, a power drive command is applied to a train controller 10. When the traveling speed 2a becomes faster than the notch-off speed 3a, a power-OFF relay 7 is energized to allow an idle command to the controller 10. When the idle command is thus outputted, the table 3 will advance to a table for next station.
