Abstract

PURPOSE:To utilize a voice terminal and low-speed no-voice terminal for communication through minimum operation by providing a circuit which switches and connects a high-speed channel to a partially divided channel and another circuit which switches and connects a low-speed terminal to a low-speed channel. CONSTITUTION:A switching circuit 8 switches a channel 11, used for LBS transmsission, for the LSB (least significant bit) transmission of a voice in original use mode or the transmission of no-voice data. A switching circuit 9 connects a signal from a low-speed no-voice terminal equipment 2 to an additional data channel 12 for control. When voice communication and low-speed no-voice communication are performed with the same party subscriber simultaneously, circuits 8 and 9 are switched to the side of a terminal (b) and a low-speed no-voice signal is transmitted as a substitute for LSB, thereby performing the simultaneous communication of a voice and low-speed no-voice data through only one channel of 64k bits/S. In other cases, the circuits 8 and 9 are switched to the side of a terminal (a) to transmit the low-speed no-voice signal via the channel 12 independently of the voice.
