Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure high reception quality by preventing voice locking operation of modulated AFC by utilizing output information on a demodulated control channel. CONSTITUTION:When the extracted output frequency of a carrier amplifier 9 is locked accurately at the frequency f0 of a carrier oscillator 10, the output signal wave of a BPF7 is detected to turn on a discriminating circuit 19. When a frequency f0+300Hz at the lowest end of a voice is locked at the output frequency of the oscillator 10, the frequency of a control channel inputted to the BPF7 is included completely in a range of 300-2,380Hz of voice channels, and consequently the output of the BPF7 permitting only the control channel to pass through it goes to zero thereby turning off the circuit 19. As a result, a switch 14 is unlocked to apply the output voltage of a sweep oscillator 15 to a voltage-controlled oscillator 13, which makes a search. Thus, excellent AFC operation is performed to improve reception quality.
