Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the sight-through distortion inspection automatic, by projecting the image of the light having passed through an object being inspected on a screen, and electrically processing said transmitted light image. CONSTITUTION:Glass 1 as an object to be inspected moves on conveyor rollers 2. Below the rollers 2, a reflecting mirror 3 is disposed in an inclining position, while above them, a screen 4 is disposed in an inclining position. When the glass 1 moving on the rollers 2 reaches a given position, the light beam L from a light source 5 passes through the glass 1, and the image of said transmitted light is projected on the screen 4. The incident angle phi of the light beam L is more than 30 deg., the length (a) of the light-projected part on the object 1' to be inspected is to be more than 40mm., and the opening angle phi of the light beam is to be within a range of from -15 deg. to +15 deg.. The result is displayed on a monitor 10.
