Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the environmental pollution in removing an oven lid and pushing coke without using a large-sized apparatus, by jetting a gas onto dust flying up from the bottom of an oven opening, and collecting the dust with a hood above the opening.
CONSTITUTION: Dust from the bottom of a carbonizing chamber (1A) among the dust flying up from the carbonizing chamber (1A) to the outside thereof is pushed into the chamber (1A) with the injection of a gas (9) from a jetting nozzle (5) in removing an oven lid or pushing coke on the extruder (8) side of a coke oven (1). Thus, a rising air current is caused in the chamber (1A), which is introduced into a hood (4) provided above the oven (1) and expelled on the ground via a dust collecting duct (3). A gas containing dust sucked from the upper hood (6A) above a door cleaner (6) by a blower (7) is advantageously used as the gas (9).
