Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent omission of the sealing treatment for small holes, by pressing opposite surfaces of a panel body through press plates with a resilient plate inserted between one of the surfaces that has small holes and one of the press plates before a foamable original liquid is introduced.
CONSTITUTION: The panel body 2 is pressed from opposite surfaces thereof by a pair of the press plates 6 that are pulled together by securing nuts 7 onto bolts 8 uniformly with the surface 2a having small holes 4 being in tightly contact with the resilient plate 11 so that the panel body 2 is pressed under a pressure slightly higher than a foaming pressure of 0.05 to 0.5kg/cm2. Then, the foaming original liquid of urethane resin is introduced into the panel body 2 and is foamed. In this case, the press plates 6 prevent distortion of the panel body 2 due to the foaming pressure acting in directions shown by the arrows (A), and the resilient plate 11 seals the small holes 4 under a pressure slightly higher than the foaming pressure. The heat insulation panel 1 formed into a desired shape will be removed by parting the press plates 6 and the resilient plate 11.
