Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a soil stabilizing agent having excellent cure shrinkage and strength, and effective for the stabilization and reinforcement of ground and filling of voids, by dissolving or dispersing PVA, a boron compound, portland cement, a water-soluble metal salt, etc. in water.
CONSTITUTION: The objective soil stabilizing agent comprises a 3W50%, pref. 5W30% aqueous solution or dispersion containing as essential components, (A) 1pt.wt. (hereinafter called "part") of PVA or its derivative, (B) 0.005W1pt., pref. 0.05W0.3pt., of a boron compound such as borax, boric acid, etc., (C) 2W100pts., pref. 3W20pts. of a cement such as Portland cement, alumina cement, etc., and (D) 0.01W30pts., pref. 0.03W1.5pts. of a metal salt having a water solubility of ≥0.1 (wt)%, such as sodium phosphate. The amount of (C) is 29W99% of (A)+(B)+ (D), and that of (D) is 0.01W50% of (A)+(B)+(C). The component (A) has pref. a saponification degree of 70W90mol%, and an average degree of polymerization of ≥300.
