CONSTITUTION: A 2-hydroxyl-7,9-dioxabicyclo[4.3.0]nonane as a raw material is dehydrogenated in the presence of a metallic catalyst, preferably palladium supported on active carbon carrier, at 150W350°C to give the titled compound. The raw material compound is expressed by the formula (R1 and R2 are H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, etc.; X, Y and Z are H, hydroxyl, etc.) and prepared from an alicyclic polyhydric alcohol.
