Abstract

PURPOSE: To release a parking brake just until the hydraulic motor is terminated by a method wherein a flow change-over valve is changed over to its neutral position, the pressure produced in a line communicating with the hydraulic motor is acted upon a brake cylinder until the pressure is decreased to the desired value.
CONSTITUTION: When the flow change-over valve 5 is changed over to the position B, a part of the discharged oil from the hydraulic pump is returned back to the tank 1 through throttle valves 23, 22 due to the fact that the change-over valves 20, 21 are set at the position A. With this arrangement, the pressure in the passage 16a is increased through the throttle valve 22, said pressure is acted upon the brake cylinder 4 to release the parking brake. When the change-over valve 5 is returned back to the position N, the pressure in the passage line 17 is increased. The change- over valves 20, 21 are set to the position B under said pressure. A part of the hydraulic oil in the passage 17 is flowed into the passage 18 via throttle valves 24, 25, the pressure in the passage 19a is increased due to the throttle valve 25. Application of said pressure against the cylinder 4 keeps the parking brake in a released condition. As the pressure in the passage 17 is decreased, the change-over valves 20, 21 are set to the position A, the brake cylinder 4 is communicated with the tank 1 to cause the parking brake to be operated.
